Daily Captain's Log: CH

5/4/16: Today was a set up day. We set stuff up.

Captain's Log — May 6, 2016  Today the crew and I delegated the first tasks of our new project. Our goal is to finish these as fast as possible so we can get our materials. Today we worked on "What is an ROV" and getting information on the challenges.

Captain's Log — May 10, 2016 — As it turns out, we fell behind on one of our assignments. Today we had to frantically make up that work in order to get our building materials on time. Luckily, we had already taken measurements, and planned bit for the challenges. We just needed to transfer the info.

Captain's Log — May 11, 2016 — Carlos and I were the only ones here today. I worked on the control box, and got three of the components soldered on. Carlos continued cutting pvc for the frame.

Captain's Log — May 12, 2016 — Though we didn't have class, our entire team (with the exception of Carlos) showed up to make up time, and get ahead on our ROV. I continued soldering the control box, but I didn't finish by the end of tutorial. Victoria set up the cord for the box. I won't be in class tomorrow so I made up time today. Will finished the motors.

Captain's Log — May 13, 2016 — The team assembled everything they could without me. They have informed me that everything is ready except for the control box.

Captain's Log — May 19, 2016 — I finished the control box and began to memorize the organisms needed for the challenges. The rest of the group tested the ROV in the water, and began refining the buoyancy. We also started to plan what we will need from the class store.

Captain's Log — May 24, 2016 — We are frantically trying to finish our ROV. Will brought a net and the rest of us tried to find a way to detach it. Luckily for us the ROV gods were merciful and let us use a one-time-use detach method. We found a spot for our camera.

  1. Hi Captain,

Where's the daily blog post for last class? Not sure what I'm talking about? Please check the directions for day 4.

    Thanks!
